Thanh Nguyen

Visitation for Thanh Nguyen, 50, of Davenport will be held from 4-8pm on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, in downtown Davenport. Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 422 E. 10th Street, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Thanh passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, in his home surrounded family and close friends.

Thanh was born in Vietnam on April 24, 1971. He was united in marriage to Lien Thi on July 2, 1995. She survives him.

Thanh was an amazing man who lived his life to the fullest. He was an excellent woodworker and had done many of the renovations to the home. He was known for his warm aura, pure heart, and his willingness to do anything to help those in need.  He often said that God and his family gave him the strength to do what he needed in his life. He was a loving and caring father, husband, uncle, brother, and son. Even in sickness, he always remained positive, always prayed and gave thanks to God, and spread joy to those around him.

In addition to his wife, Thanh is survived by his children, Benson, Anly, and Aivy “Ivy”; his father Chi, and siblings Danh, Dzung, Thuan, Huyen, Trang, Trinh, Nghia, and Yen.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Hung.
