Scott Smith

Scott M. “Rabbit” Smith, 55, a resident of Davenport, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021 in Davenport.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at one of his favorite fishing spots.

Scott was born December 25, 1965 in Virginia, the son of Dennis and Karen Sue Smith. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1986 – 1987. He married Kathryn “Kat” Olds, January 31, 2017.

Scott worked as an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed plowing snow and spending time with his family and friends. Scott was an avid fisherman.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Kat; children, Emilee Good of Rock Island, Terrah Smith, Brandon Smith, Jessica Smith, and Lacey Smith, all of Davenport; nine grandchildren; mom, Sue Smith of Davenport; and sister, Sarah Smith of Davenport; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
