December 19, 1971 — April 29, 2020

Julie A. (Morgart) Sarra, 48, of the Denver, Colorado area, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 29, 2020.  Due to the current health crisis, a celebration of her life will take place at a later date.  Memorials may be made for an educational fund for her children Audrey and Gavin.

Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Julie Anne Morgart was born on December 19, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of William J. and Vera “V.J.” Morgart.  She graduated from Assumption High School in 1990 and Marquette University in 1994 with a bachelor’s of art degree.  She married Scott Sarra in 1999 in Davenport, a union which brought her children Audrey and Gavin into the world.  Her children brought her great joy in life and she enjoyed her time with them as well as their many activities.

Julie worked for many years in the television industry in the Denver area.

Julie will always be remembered by her family and friends for her kind smile and warm heart.  She had an adventurous spirit and love of traveling. Julie also loved the outdoors, living in Colorado brought her great opportunities to go hiking and skiing.

Survivors include children: Audrey and Gavin, Centennial, Colorado; mother, V.J. Morgart, Bettendorf; siblings: Jill (Andrew) Kraut, Naples, Florida, Jay (Rodell) Morgart, and Joel (Julie) Morgart, all of Bettendorf; nieces and nephews :Raquel, Ryan, Tyler, Allyssa, Tristan, Kailee, Amelia, Lane, and Gretta, great-niece and great-nephews: Livianna, Maximus, and Brayden; grandmother, Letha Morgart, Marshalltown, Iowa; numerous aunt, uncles, and cousins.

Julie was preceded in death by her father, Bill, and grandparents, John Morgart, and Paul and Rosina Sanders.
