Gale Carson

Gale A. Carson, 74, a resident of Davenport, died Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme in Davenport.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quad City Veterans Outreach Center. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gale was born October 4, 1946 in Logan, West Virginia, the daughter of Roy and Virginia (Mangus) Sexton. She married Richard Carson, July 3, 1970 in Walcott.

Gale enjoyed gardening, family cookouts, fishing, and keeping everyone “in line”. She cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Richard; sons, Gary (Bobi) Carson of Buffalo, Glen (Tracy) Carson of Buffalo, and Grant Carson of Davenport; grandchildren, Holli Carson, Zack Carson, Nick Carson, and Drew Carson; great-granddaughter, Lilah Jean Thornton; sister, Doris (George) Gillis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Larry Sexton, Louise Hutchison, Sandy Kraus, and Gary Sexton.
