Deanna Steinmann

March 1, 1937 — May 24, 2021

Deanna Mae Steinmann, 84, was called to heaven Monday morning, May 24, 2021. Deanna married Bradford E. Steinmann January 10, 1955, in Wilton, Iowa. Deanna and Brad made their home in Walcott, Iowa, moving to Florida in the early 1980’s. Deanna was born to Orey and Mabel Schumaker on March 1, 1937.

She leaves behind her children Bradford W. (Brenda) Tennessee, Rachelle (Daniel) Marple, Joseph (Danielle), Vincent (Penny), and Christopher Steinmann, all of Florida; as well as 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, sisters, Janice (John) Gipson and Barbara Maplethorpe; brothers, Randy (Cathy) and Keith Schumaker, dear friend and wonderful caregiver, Marie Leyare Francois.

Deanna was the Anna of Bradanna, Inc. Her Husband Bradford (Brad), Bradanna an Iowa based Construction company was started over 59 years ago by Deanna and her husband Brad. The company has grown through the years with the dream of the family keeping the lifelong dreams of Brad and Deanna alive. There were a lot of people that knew Brad but did not know Deanna. The family would like to let the world know that the mother of the family was the inspiration of both Brad and Deanna and the success the family has acquired in business and in family. Deanna did all the accounting until they moved to Florida in 1984.

Deanna had many of her own accomplishments. She sold real estate and became extraordinarily successful, even getting her broker’s license.  After Deanna moved to Florida, she did a lot of volunteering but always made time for her family.  She was a wonderful mother and wife. She was married for 60 years to Brad Steinmann. One thing she always did was make sure that there were many photos of her family, so they could always enjoy them.  She enjoyed reading books, especially mysteries, arts and crafts, bowling, and crocheting. She instilled many of her traits into all her children. Hard work was the best.

Deanna was living at Harbor Chase in Naples, Florida for the last six years. She was combating trigeminal neuralgia and multiple sclerosis. She would always wake up with a huge smile on her face and was very bubbly every day. You would never know she had the issues that were upon her. She was such an inspiration to her family, friends, and workers at the facility.

Deanna’s family would like to thank Marie for taking such wonderful care of their mom.  There are some people that are born with a heart of gold and for the past several years, there has been one incredibly special person that has been there to take care of Deanna, Marie.  Marie was always there to do whatever Deanna needed and they had a wonderful bond.  Marie said that Deanna made her feel that what she does is important, and Marie said our mom proved that to her because mom waited for her to be there before she passed.  We all already knew that Marie was an incredibly special part of our mom’s life.  Marie is and will always be part of our family.  Marie, thank you for all you have done.  We genuinely love you.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bradford, sister Carol Mangels and her parents.
