Annie Taylor

Funeral Services for Annie B. Taylor, 93, a resident of Bettendorf, formerly of Davenport, will be 2pm Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport.  The family will greet friends Sunday from 1pm until the time of the service.  Per her wishes, the rite of cremation will be accorded following the service.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Annie passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Iowa Masonic Nursing Home in Bettendorf, surrounded by her family.

Annie B. McNeal was born November 24, 1927 in Bolivar, Tennessee, a daughter of Fred and Minnie (Terry) McNeal.  She married Felix Taylor.  He preceded her in death.

Annie worked in patient care at Western State Mental Hospital in Tennessee for 38 years.  She was a former member of Third Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to honor Annie’s memory include her children:  Lulla Taylor, Alice (John) Young, Willie Taylor, all of Davenport; Sidney (Denise) Taylor and Stacey (Judy) Taylor, all of San Diego, California; and Brenda Taylor, Davenport;  31 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Felix, infant daughter, Christine Taylor, and sons:  Fred L. Taylor and Felix Taylor, Jr., and all of her siblings.
