Angela Gillespie

Angela Rose Gillespie, 39, a resident of Davenport, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street in Davenport.

Private services will be held due to the health concerns with COVID-19. Angela was born July 13, 1980 in Davenport, the daughter of Kim and Linda (Schebler) Gillespie. She was a 1998 Graduate of Davenport West High School. Ms. Angie worked as a teacher at KinderCare Learning Center in Bettendorf since 1998.

Angela loved her job and her kids at KinderCare. She enjoyed watching movies, playing movie trivia, games on her phone, and family gatherings. Angela was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed attending games and watching them on television. She loved being with her friends, babysitting children for her close friends, and loved animals.

Those left to honor her memory include her parents, Kim and Linda Gillespie; and her brother, Allen Gillespie, all of Davenport; sister, Becky Gillespie and her fiancé, Wayne Hains of Rock Island; half-brother, Jeremy Salsberry of Bettendorf; grandmother, Janice Schebler of Eldridge; nephews, Cody and Austin Hains; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, and two uncles.
