Adolfo Nava

November 15, 1942 — August 11, 2020

Adolfo Nava, 77, of Davenport, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Genesis East, Davenport.  Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport.  Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at church.  Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport.  Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Adolfo was born on November 15, 1942 in Magdalena de Araceli, Mexico, one of eight children born to Jose and Ma Guadalupe (Cervantes) Nava.  He was united in marriage to Victoriana Mendoza in 1962.

Adolfo retired from Alter Metal Recycling in 2013.

He enjoyed fishing, and planting his garden, cultivating wonderful vegetables to share with his family.  Adolfo was greatly devoted to his Catholic faith, attending daily mass, rain or shine!

Among survivors are his wife, Victoriana, children: Angel Nava, Pedro (Maria Estella) Nava, Estela (Jose) Villafana, Davenport, Ma Guadalupe (Sebastian) Aguilar, Veronica (Arnulfo) Mendoza, Victoria (Juan) Sanchez, Alicia (Cecilio) Vicyra, and Aldolfo (Maria) Nava; 20 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
