Funeral Services and a Mass of Christian Burial for William C. “Bill” DePauw, 75, of Davenport will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1923 N. Fillmore Street, Davenport. Graveside military honors will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home 614 Main Street, downtown Davenport, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Bill passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home.

William Clement DePauw was born October 20, 1942 in Kewanee, Illinois, a son of Albert and Esther (Coulter) DePauw. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Airforce. He was a computer technician and had worked many years in the field of robotics.

Bill enjoyed annual early summer and fall fishing and camping trips to Canada with his buddies and long scenic road trips. He was a true audiophile, enjoying the highest quality music he could.

Bill was always willing to do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat and he will be missed terribly by his friends and family. You could always find him at his grandchildren’s sporting and school events.

Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.

Those left to honor Bill's memory include his children, Andrea (Doug) Stalder, Durant, Craig (Christina) DePauw, and Angela (Patrick) Kelley, all of Davenport, Amy (Eric) Ward, Wilton, ME, Chad (Josh) Townsend, Bonita Springs, FL, Michael (Kerstin) DePauw, Lausanne, Switzerland, Matthew (Jolene) DePauw, Robinsdale, MN and a daughter-in-law, Catherine Rinaldo, New Brighton, MN; 29 grandchildren; two brothers, Edward DePauw, Albuquerque, NM and Thomas (Daryl) DePauw, Macomb, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Mark.
