William "Bill" Eugene Behrens

William “Bill” Behrens, 73, of Davenport, died Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Unity Point Health Trinity in Rock Island.

Visitation services will be held on January 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m., with burial following at Walcott Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for an education savings account for Bill’s great-grandchildren.

Bill was born April 14, 1952 in Bettendorf, the son of Lester and Dorothy (Ziegler) Behrens. On September 18, 1976 he married Deborah Farrell.

Bill dedicated 25 years of his career as a Union Foreman for Anderson Commercial Concrete. Even after his retirement, he continued to work part-time for the company, demonstrating his deep passion for concrete work. Until the very end, Bill remained actively engaged in his craft, completing his last job just two weeks prior to his passing.

Bill was a great dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He loved spending time with his family and held a great enthusiasm for life that made every moment spent with him enjoyable. It was a common sight to see him holding up a peace sign when his photograph was taken.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Samantha (Mike) Ridenour of Blue Grass, Garry Behrens of Davenport, and Matthew Behrens of Davenport; grandchildren, Malesha (Matt) Springsteen and Ryan Ridenour; great-grandchildren, Mila, Marcus, Juli, and Lil; brothers, Bob Behrens and Dennis Behrens.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah, his parents, and his brother Garry Behrens.
