Waltraud Reicks

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Waltraud M. “Trudy” Reicks, 79, a resident of Davenport, will be from 10am until 12 Noon Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.  Trudy passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center – East Rusholme, surrounded by her family.

Waltraud Maria Volande was born January 15, 1942 in Landaupfalz Germany, a daughter of Julius and Therese (Breu) Volande.  Trudy enjoyed shopping, fashion, spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren, and reading.  She enjoyed making homemade crafts and watching the Royal Family.  Trudy was very proud of her 31 years of sobriety.  She was a big supporter of others who were struggling with addiction.

Those left to honor Trudy’s memory include her children:  Patrick (Cheryl) Mulvehill, Evans, Georgia; Tina Hernandez, Rachelle (James) Lindquist and Tanja LaMar, all of Davenport; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, children:  Patricia and Michelle Mulvehill; and brothers:  Gunther, Gerhard and Herbert Volande.
