Walpurga "Walli" Roberts

Walpulga “Walli” Roberts, 98, of Davenport, died peacefully, Sunday, January 19, 2025 at The Vistas of Bettendorf.

The family will conduct a private memorial followed by a committal service at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island where Walli will be laid to rest. 

Walpurga Bartl was born on March 12, 1926 in Weipert, Czech Republic, a daughter of Anton and Anna Bartel. She was united marriage to Stanley P. Roberts, Jr. whom she met while he was stationed in Germany.

She worked for many years as a seamstress at Bradford’s on Harrison Street, Davenport. She enjoyed walking many miles a day and swimming. 

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Roswitha “Rosie” Schueller, Davenport; grandchildren: Emily (Curt) LaValle, and Matthew Schueller; great-grandchildren: Olive and Tony LaValle.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. May they rest in peace.
