Vincent F. Welk

Services celebrating the life of Vincent F. Welk, 79, of Davenport, will begin with visitation from 10am – Noon on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, followed by the funeral service at Noon.  Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.    Memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. Welk passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Good Samaritan, Davenport.

Vincent F. Welk was born June 2, 1943, in Davenport, the son of Hilbert Vincent and Ruby Ann (Brunty) Welk.  He was united in marriage to Constance York on February 20, 1965, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport.

Prior to his retirement Vince had worked as a forklift operator for John Deere and driver for Hupp Electric and River Bend Transit.

He enjoyed puzzle books, watching old game shows (especially Wheel of Fortune), Bingo, watching westerns, country music, fishing, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Connie; children Lisa (Paul Schebler) Littig, Davenport, Vincent A. Welk, Denver, CO, Jamie (Jaci) Welk, Davenport, Jodi (Derek) Taylor, Davenport; grandchildren Kyle, Jason, Kaleb, Zach, Israel, Angelique, Derek Jr, Conner, Cameron, Makaila, Sierra, Skylar, Aurora; great grandchildren Emery, Wyatt, Julian, Nehemiah, Noah, Theo, Charlie; sister Vicki (Butch) Brothers, Saverton, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Elizabeth Rosencran.
