Tim L. Swanson

Timothy L. Swanson, 65, of Davenport passed away, Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Genesis Medical Center.

 A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, June 24, 2024 at 2:00PM, at Pearl City Outreach, 509 Mulberry Avenue, Muscatine. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the family.

 Tim was born on November 29, 1958 in Davenport, Iowa son of Billy and Betty (Studer) Swanson. He was united in marriage to Sandra Christner on August 9, 1980. They shared many wonderful years together. 

 Tim was employed at Oscar Mayer, leaving the company in 2005. He loved stock car races and would help his friends with their stock cars. He was always tinkering and working on something. He enjoyed the annual tradition of putting up Christmas lights with family. Tim also found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a great dad and a wonderful husband. Above all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and cherished the moments they shared. He will be deeply missed. 

 Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sandy, children Kimberly (Alex Longlett) Swanson Snyder and Shawn (Samantha) Swanson; grandchildren Michael, Devin, Hannah, Blake, Carter, Georgina and William; great grandchild Natalia; and siblings Bill Swanson Carrie (Tom) Kracaw and Bruce (Sandra) Swanson.

 He was preceded in death by his parents.
