Theresa M. Henricksen

Theresa Henricksen 69, of Davenport, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis, Davenport, with her family by her side. Per her wish cremation will be accorded and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Theresa Marie Muntz was born October 21, 1955, in Bonaparte, IA, to Morris Gene and Willian Marie “Billie” Lewis. She was united in marriage to Myron Henricksen.

Theresa had a way of keeping her hands busy and her heart full. In earlier years she loved bowling nights, whether it was for the game itself or just being around people she cared about. At home, you could usually find her with yarn in her hands, knitting or crocheting something special. She was always making things, and she had a knack for turning simple materials into something useful or beautiful.

Cooking was another way she showed her love. From everyday meals to little experiments in the kitchen, she enjoyed feeding others. And when she wasn’t making or cooking, she enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King.

As her health allowed, she enjoyed being out and about running errands, visiting, or just taking in the day. Even when things weren’t easy, she carried herself with quiet determination and never lost the joy of being part of life around her.

Survivors include her son Donald Henricksen of Davenport, daughters Deana Sanders of Davenport, and Laela (Mike) Widner of Park View, IA; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and best friend Diana.

She was preceded in death by her mother Billie Tovrea in 1998, father Morris in 2021, and infant sister Donna in 1971. May they rest in peace.
