Terry Lee Peppers, 59, of Davenport, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at his home. Per his request cremation will be accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the family.

Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, assisted the family.

Terry was born November 28, 1965, in Davenport, to Robert “Bob” and Holly (Mohr) Peppers. He was united in marriage to Dawn Wilson on July 4, 2012.

A master locksmith, he proudly owned and operated A1 All Lock from 1995 to 2017, pouring his dedication and expertise into building a thriving business that served his community with care.

Terry had an extraordinary gift for connecting with children, delighting them with silly jokes, playful games, and boundless laughter. Whether pulling funny faces, weaving imaginative stories, or joining them on the floor for playtime, he made every child feel cherished and understood. His warm, joyful presence left a lasting mark on the young hearts who adored him, ensuring his memory will forever bring smiles.

An avid outdoorsman, Terry cherished moments spent with his beloved dog Niko, grilling out and listening to music under open skies. A passionate fan of NASCAR, NHRA, and football, he also showcased his mechanical talent through his invaluable contributions to his family’s racing endeavors.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Dawn Peppers; son Tommy (Suzanne) Peppers; daughters Tessa (Jake) DeJaegher and Emily (AJ) Brown; stepdaughter Amber (Chad) Peppers; stepsons Scot (Glady) McClanahan and Chris (Courtney) McClanahan; grandchildren Kyla, Evelyn, Wyatt, Ruby, Jett, Lucille, Lenora, Ryan, Cameron, Caiden, Natalie, Nikolas, Aria, Adrianna, Aleigha, Amiyah, Lilianah, Chris Jr, Ryleigh, and one on the way; one great grandchild on the way; special friend/mother of his children Sue (Burke) Peppers; father Bob (Sharon) Peppers; sisters Robin Enoch, Wendy Roberts, and Loretta Johnson; brother Randy Peppers; aunt Patty Hatch; and uncles Art Peppers Tommy Joe Peppers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Holly, aunt Anna Daily, and uncle Michael “Sgt. Peppers” Peppers.

Terry’s vibrant spirit and unwavering passion will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
