Suzanne T. "Sue" Hutcheson, 89, of Davenport, died on March 24, 2026.
Visitation will be Monday, March 30, 2026, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with a prayer service offered at 6 p.m. There will be additional visitation on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island with her husband.
Suzanne was born October 2, 1936, and adopted by Edward and Marie (Rotterman) Hoffman. She graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, Illinois. She graduated from St. Ambrose in 1957 with a nursing degree and in 1983 a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Sue worked at St. Luke’s Hospital and later Genesis Medical Center.
She was united in marriage to Glen Robert Hutcheson on February 15, 1958, in Peoria. They were married 55 years before his passing on April 7, 2013.
Sue was a longtime member of the former St. Mary's Catholic Church, serving as leader of song and Eucharistic Minister. She later joined Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Memorials may be Masses or donations to the family for a memorial to be chosen at a later date.
She is survived by her children: Lisa (Ken) Leonard, Theresa Hutcheson, Julie Hutcheson all of Davenport; James (Amy) of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren: Michelle Clark, Victoria Leonard of Davenport; Stephen (Ali) Hilton-Leonard, Chesapeake, Virginia; Keenan (Jenny) Hutcheson of Davenport; Alexandria Hutcheson of California; Richard (Laura) Hutcheson of Toronto, Iowa; Ellen (James) Levine of St. Louis, Missouri; Alexa (Eyad) Ismail, Robert Hutcheson of Indianapolis, Indiana; great-grandchildren: Trent, Henry, and Marysa Clark; Grayson, Luka, and Remi Hutcheson all of Davenport; Millie Hutcheson of Toronto, Iowa. Basil Levine of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers-in-law: Jack (Sherry) Hutcheson of Davenport; sister-in-law: Jeanne Hutcheson- widow of James; many nieces and nephews; and special friends: Mary Jo Mesmer and Marcia Arbogast.
She was preceded in death by husband, Glen Robert, children Mary Ann, Robert, and Pamela, her parents and Glen's parents. brothers-in-laws and their wives: George (Bernice), Charlie (Ann) (Luella), James (Karren), and special friends: Chuck Mesmer and Robert Arbogast. May they rest in eternal peace.
