Stashay Simone Lane

Stashay S. Lane, 32, of Davenport, passed away on September 5, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis East Medical Center. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Stashay Simone Lane was born in Davenport, Iowa on September 26, 1993, to Oreen L. Harrington and Suni B. Lane, Sr. Stashay attended Grant Wood Elementary School, Bettendorf Middle School, and Bettendorf High School, graduating in 2012. After high school, she earned her Certified Nursing Assistant license, allowing her to pursue her passion for caring for others. Above all, she deeply loved and cared for her children. 

From the time she was born, Stashay was a bright light in everyone's life—always keeping us on our toes, bringing energy to every room, and offering help to anyone in need and always lifting others up. She gave the biggest hugs, shared the warmest smiles, and cherished every moment spent having fun with family and friends. 

Stashay is survived by her five beautiful Children: London E'Moni Lewis, Messiah Malik Lewis, Neriah Simone Lane, Mi'Journey Lashay McNeal, and Mi' Savior Elijah McNeal. Siblings: Demetrius B. Lane, Sr. and Suni B. Lane, Jr..Makaya Culberson, Tatianna Jacobs; Booker Jacobs III. Nephews: Kingston E.Lane, Princeton B. Lane,Demetrius B. Lane, Jr., Marterius Riddle, Jr., Zion Jacobs. Zatavius Jacobs, Akeem Harris. Nieces: Gabriella Amor Sherrie Lane, Malaya Riddle, Arieonna Harris. Grandparents: Oreen Harrington, Ester Lane and Melvin Walker. Uncles: Abdur-Rashid Walker, Angelo Lane. Aunts: Angelique Walker, Lu'Ciana M. Thomas, and Linda H. Thomas Great-Aunts: Deborah Morgan, Gloria Overstreet, Allean Overstreet, Marry Harrington, Mary Morgan, Regina Thomas Great-Uncle: Leonard Overstreet Great-Great Aunt Jean Johnson and an Honorary Uncle: Untril D. Overstreet. Mother: Oreen L. Harrington, (Step-Father Willie D. Thomas, Jr.), Father Suni B. Lane, Sr. With many loving Great Great Uncles and Aunties, and many Cousins and Friends.

She was preceded in death by Grandparents: Willie D. Thomas, Sr. and Ruth Ann Thomas; Great-Grandmothers: Mary Lee Overstreet and Betty Ann Suggs; Great-Great-Grandmother: Iraine Collage; Great-Uncles: Robert Overstreet and Clyde Lane; Cousin: Mary Lee Harrington (Poochie).and Step-Mother Janie Goodwin She will TRULY be LOVED and MISSED.
