Shirley Ann Parrow, born on December 5, 1963, in Cleveland, Mississippi, to Wardine and Lee Henry Parrow, departed this world peacefully at the age of 61. A devoted Christian, Shirley found her strength and comfort in her faith, accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
As a loving mother to her two daughters, Shukela and Phylicia, Shirley’s nurturing spirit extended to her nieces and nephews. She had a heart of gold, always prioritizing the needs of her family above her own. Her selflessness and unconditional love knew no bounds, making her a foundation of support for all.
Shirley cherished her seven grandchildren, who filled her life with joy. She relished every moment spent with them, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations.
Born into a large and tight-knit family, Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Shukela, her granddaughter Chantel, her brother Lee Parrow Jr., and her sister Helen Parrow. She is survived by her siblings: Kenny Parrow and his wife Lacretsia, Tyrone Parrow, Paul Parrow, Regina Hannah and her husband Fred, and David Parrow. Her love extended well beyond her immediate family, making a lasting impact on her many nieces and nephews.
Shirley will be remembered for her unwavering faith, incredible selflessness, and unconditional love for her family. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate Shirley's life and legacy at 11am on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, with visitation from 10am until time of services. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. May she rest in eternal peace and may her loved ones find comfort in the beautiful memories they hold dear.
