Shirley Mason

June 21, 1957 — November 2, 2017


A gathering to celebrate the life of Shirley L. Mason, 60, a resident of Bettendorf formerly of Davenport, will be 10: 00 a.m., Saturday, December 2, 2017 in the All Faith Chapel at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, downtown Davenport. Inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. The family will greet friends prior to the prayers Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. Per her wish the rite of cremation was accorded.

Shirley passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her step-daughter Pam’s residence in Bettendorf.

Shirley Lee Jordan was born on June 21, 1957, a daughter of Charles E. and Edna L. (Joseph) Jordan in Davenport. She married Thomas A. Mason, III, March 29, 1991 in Davenport. They celebrated over 20 years of marriage. Thomas preceded Shirley in death May 25, 2012.

Shirley was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral and the St. Martin de Porres Society. She enjoyed spending time with family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Those left to honor her memory include, children; Damian (Diane) Jordan, Davenport, Corbin Mason, Buckeye, AZ; stepchildren, Nancy (Bryan) Christopher, Phoenix, AZ, Pamela Mason, Bettendorf, Thomas (Rachel) Mason, IV, Bettendorf, Everett (Jennifer) Mason, San Diego, CA, Mary (Nathan) Eden, San Diego, CA, Martin Mason, Buckeye, AZ; and Mattie (Wayne) Knight, West Virginia; 17 grandchildren, and some great grand on the way; and a brother, Dan Jordan, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, and brother, Charles Jordan. May they rest in peace.
