Sharon Crane

Committal services for Sharon F. Crane, 71, a resident of Davenport, will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 N. Main Street, downtown Davenport. Sharon passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at Manor Care, East Locust, Davenport.

Sharon was born on April 19, 1946 in Galesburg, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Lee Crane on June 9, 1995 in Berryville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2013.

Sharon worked for many years at the President Riverboat Casino. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire! She was a talented couponer and had a great love of trolls, collecting them throughout her life. She also enjoyed an occasional beer at Mary’s on 2nd and the Gateway Pub, both in Davenport. Sharon was active in the Salvation Army as a young person, playing the tambourine in the band. She enjoyed knowing what was going on, keeping track of the things going on through her police scanner.

Betty is survived by her daughters: Betty Stoneking (Gary), Tipton, and Cindy Stoneking (Shannon), Oelwein, Iowa grandsons: Dennis and Travis Stoneking; a niece, Ruthann and nephews: Rusty and Rich Miller.
