Sarah K. Morgan

Sarah K. Morgan, 88, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her home. Cremation has been accorded and inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, at a later date. The family invites you to join them in a Repass at 4:30pm on Saturday May 16, 206, at the Lincoln Resource Center, 318 E. 7th St, Davenport.

Sarah Katherine Colvin was born February 2, 1938, in Aliceville, AL, to John Wesley and Annie Laura (Gosa) Colvin Jr and was raised by her aunt and uncle Ida Mae and Willie James Colvin. She was united in marriage to Bennie “Mr. B.” Morgan Jr. on December 17, 1960, in Rock Island and he preceded her in death on July 30, 2005.

Sarah was a homemaker and had worked as a CNA at Iowa Masonic, Bettendorf, in earlier years.

She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and the occasional trip to the casino. She cherished the time spent with her large family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Nita Aurthur of Davenport; son Michael Morgan of Davenport; seventeen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sisters Joy (Allen) McNeil, Arlene and Traci Colvin, and Derria Franklin; brother Michael (Harvetta) Colvin; sister in law Maddie Jordan; and many nieces and nephews including special niece Janice Summerville.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Vera Colvin, son Kerry Morgan, grandson Kerrvontae Miller, daughter Dorothy Morgan, sisters Willie Dead Spruill and Murrie Summerville, and brothers Sam, Willie, Freddie and John Willis Colvin.

Sarah’s family would like to thank and acknowledge the care and support given by Trinity Hospice, Jersey Ridge Place, family and friends.
