Sandy Moellenbeck

Sandra C. “Sandy” Moellenbeck, 80, of rural Walcott, died Saturday, October 8, 2022 at her home.

A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12^th at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Maysville Fire Department or St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Sandy was born December 29, 1941 in Davenport, the daughter of Walter and Beatrice (Hausch) Hamerlinck. She married Robert J. Moellenbeck, November 19, 1960 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Davenport.

Sandy worked with Genesis Medical Center and Davenport School District. She enjoyed playing bingo, going fishing, and was a long-time member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church in Davenport. Sandy cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren, to whom she was a loving and supportive grandmother.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 63 years, Bob; sons, Mike (Dawn) Moellenbeck of Blue Grass, Joe (Vicki) Moellenbeck of Port Byron, Illinois, Dan (Cathy) Moellenbeck of Granger, Iowa, and Jim (Lisa) Moellenbeck of Davenport; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel (Betty) Hamerlinck of Bettendorf.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Lauren.
