Sandra Ulrich

Funeral Services for Sandra J. Ulrich, 80, a resident of Casa Grande, Arizona, formerly of Wheatland, Iowa, will be 2pm Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport.  Private burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport. The family will greet friends Sunday from 12 Noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Due to restrictions from the pandemic, masks must be worn and social distancing respected.  Memorials may be made to Hospice Charitable Fund of Central Arizona, P.O. Box 11859, Casa Grande, Arizona 85130-1859. Sandra passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at her home in Arizona.

Sandra Joanne Christensen was born June 4, 1940 in Davenport, a daughter of Kenneth and Icyl (Gayman) Christensen.  She married James. B. “Jim” Ulrich June 4, 1964 in Buffalo, Iowa.  They celebrated 38 years of marriage prior to his preceding her in death September 16, 2002.

Sandra enjoyed crocheting afghans and blankets for babies, playing bingo, casino slots, and card games and spending time with her family.

Those left to honor Sandra’s memory include her children:  Jonie (Bob) Fields, Casa Grande, Arizona, Sherene “Sheri” Schnitz, Casa Grande, Arizona, Jeffery Ulrich, Mesa, Arizona, and James “Jim” (Nancy) Ulrich, Jr., Lowden, Iowa; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Judith Stogsdill, Moline; Arthur Suman, Marion, Iowa and Kenneth Reed, Pennsylvania.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim.
