Ryan Arguello, 42, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 29 at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City.
A commemoration will be held from 3-6pm Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St, Davenport. Friends are also invited to the Starlite Ballroom, 2815 Locust St, Davenport, from 6-10pm. Please send photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
He was born January 8, 1979, in Davenport, Iowa, to Patrick and Patricia, and was the much-anticipated baby brother to Lisa, Lori and Jenni.
He attended Holy Family School, Assumption High School (Class of ‘97) and St. Ambrose University. He was a finish carpenter for more than 20 years.
Ryan loved well-worn baseball caps, flip flops, bonfires, fireworks, blowing things up, hunting with his dad, the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Cubs, his childhood dog Sadie, and hanging out with his buddies. He packed more life into 42 years than most people do in 100. In true Ryan fashion, he gave to others through organ donation.
Those left to shoot off their own fireworks include his daughter and forever little girl Kaitlynn Flick; his parents Pat and Pat; his sisters and brothers-in-laws Lisa and Dave Simpson, Lori Arguello, and Jenni and Clay DeCook; his nieces and nephews Gabrielle, Grant, Griffin, Hayden, Grady, and Hadley; his godmother Aunt Sue; his aunts, uncles, and cousins; and Brook and literally hundreds of buddies (or brothers as Ryan called them).
