Davenport

Russell L. Richardson, 66, of Davenport, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at his home.

Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.  Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots.

Russell was born on October 19, 1956 in Minnesota, son of Laverne and Bertha (DeRaad) Richardson.  He was united in marriage to Bobbi Christoffersen in June of 2007.

Russel had worked for the former Nichols Aluminum and the former Alcoa as an industrial mechanic.  He loved his motorcycles and had even built one with the help of his wife.  He enjoyed long rides on his bike.  He was known to stop at Herbs Tap before he came home and have a couple cold ones with friends.  Russel would also take overnight trips with his friends after long motorcycle rides. He played pool on Monday night for many different teams.  He could be found with his stick in his hand heading for the bar for a round or two on his days off work. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and NASCAR fan.  Russel had a big heart and was always willing to help others.  He was very passionate about Toys for Tots.  He was always having the best time when he was with his family and his extended family, the ones known as his brothers.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Bobbi; children, Brandon Cook, Amanda (BreAun) Elsey, Kyle Richardson, Tazia McCollom, and Makayla McCollom; grandchildren Nishea, Madsyn, Joslyn, Jason, Curtis, Alawna, Estelle, BreAun Jr., Haley Jo, and Willow; and siblings Rhonda (David) Cooper and Rick (Christie) Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
