Rosanne Snider

October 8, 1946 — April 25, 2026

Rosanne M. Snider, age 79, of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Davenport. Family will greet friends at the church starting at 9:00 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park with a luncheon directly after.

Born October 8, 1946, in LeMars, Iowa, to Joseph and Cecilia (Delperdang) Kramer, Rosanne moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona, around 1955 when she was eight. She graduated from West High School in Phoenix and went on to earn her cosmetology license in 1967.

During a visit to see her sister Marilyn and brother-in-law Ben, Rosanne met Ronald Snider. They married in Phoenix on February 17, 1968, then made their home together in Davenport, Iowa, for more than 55 years, until Ronald’s passing on January 24, 2024.

Rosanne worked as a hairdresser at Americana Nursing Home for many years and continued styling hair for loved ones even after her MS diagnosis. For many years, she also kept the books for Snider’s Service Center.

She found great joy in sewing, knitting and crocheting, always creating handmade gifts for others. Her passion for canning and making jelly from fruit and vegetables from the family garden meant that favorites like green beans, tomatoes, and strawberry jelly were available year-round. Rosanne was known for her unwavering willingness to help anyone who asked, offering her support and kindness without hesitation. She was always there to lend a hand or a listening ear, and her encouragement touched the lives of everyone around her. She cherished attending family events, from baseball games and wrestling meets to band concerts and open houses. Traveling was especially meaningful when shared with her daughter, Lisa, and later including Emily – they explored places like Germany, Spain, England, in addition to several US States. In recent years, she delighted in casino outings with Darren, often capping off the day with coconut shrimp at Red Lobster, one of her favorite meals.

Rosanne is survived by her children: Darren, Lisa, and David Snider; her grandchildren: Trevor, Alexia, and Emily Snider; her sister Marilyn (Ben) teDuits; her brother James (Judy) Kramer; her sisters-in-law, Lorna Kramer and Sue Kramer; and numerous special cousins, including Mary Manning and Bonnie Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her older brothers, Thomas Kramer and Robert Kramer.
