Ronald Herman Lindemann

April 6, 1959 — July 5, 2025

Davenport

Ronald (Ron/Ronnie) Herman Lindemann, 66, passed away Saturday July 5, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan, and their children, Kalee (Luke) Hansen and Kyle Lindemann; his siblings, Larry Lindemann, Candy (Dave) Berg, Kathy (Wayne) Garrison, and Julie Whittington; his brother-in-law, Robert (Deb) Schroeder, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who will hold his memory close to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Dorothy Lindemann.

Ronnie married the love of his life, Susan (Schroeder), on June 21, 1980 at Saint Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport and were joined together in marriage for 45 years. They enjoyed being outdoors together whether it was fishing, gardening, camping, enjoying time on the patio or tailgate of the truck together and with others.

Ron had the privilege of enjoying many close friendships, including those with Frank and Debbie Sadd, who were an important part of his life. They would get together to play cards, share a meal, and were camping partners.

He had an aptitude for working with his hands which led him to his profession as a packing mechanic and spent most of his career working at Nestlé Purina in Clinton, Iowa. His skill, knowledge and kindness lead to his colleagues knowing he could be relied upon to provide support when asked or needed.

Though he was often more reserved, he thrived in smaller groups. His sense of humor showed through in conversation, text and social media. He was known to send dad jokes and was very punny. Ron was warmhearted, would show how much he cared through acts of service and could be relied on to be there for others through lending a hand and applying his skills.

Throughout his life, Ron was known to often have a project going, whether it was looking for a new car, adding or modifying things to current cars, troubleshooting or regular maintenance. He also repaired and restored items such as lawn mowers and small tractors. There was often a project on the workbench or in the garage.

Ron found pleasure in the simple moments shared with those he cared about. He will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune to know him. His joy for life and dedication to family and friends will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
