Roger Wayne Moyer, 64, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 18, 2026, following an extended illness.

A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.

Roger was born on June 9, 1962, in Davenport, Iowa, to Archibald “Scotty” Lennon and Bonnie Moyer.

Known affectionately as “Roger-Dodger” and “Roadie,” Roger had a love for life and a heart for the people around him. He was an avid fisherman who answered whenever the river called. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing and sharing his passion with family and friends. He also enjoyed working on cars and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those he loved.

Roger enjoyed camping, playing pool, watching crime shows, and attending demolition derbies. He also spent many years on the road engineering audio for bands, combining his skills with his love of music and adventure. Roger lived life to the fullest, and his kindness, willingness to help others, and love for those around him will be fondly remembered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Roger’s memory include his son, David Moyer, of Davenport; his brother, Rodney Moyer, of Davenport, his Grand Daughters, Haleigh & Shelbee Wallace, his niece, Danielle Cusack, and her children, James and Scarlet, of Ankeny; as well as many cousins and extended family members who will continue to hold his memory close to their hearts.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to MercyOne Genesis Hospice, Christy Ehlers, Janice Stickel, and cousin Butch Ehlers for their compassion, love, and support during this difficult time. Their kindness and care are deeply appreciated.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Debbie Koos.
