Roberta Sue Nelson

Roberta "Bobbi" Sue (Hill) Nelson, 72, of Davenport, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at the MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center. A Celebration of Life for Bobbi will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Maysville Fire House. Memorials may be made to the family.

Bobbi was born on June 23, 1952, to Robert “Bob” Hill and Lela Hill. She married Jay Nelson in 1973 and blessed him with two children. Bobbi lived a life marked by her warm heart, vibrant personality, and unwavering dedication to her children.

She devoted over 30 years to the Hy-Vee deli, where she was beloved for her exceptional customer service and engaging demeanor. Bobbi’s genuine care for others made her a cherished presence who brightened the day of everyone she encountered.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Chad (Jen) Nelson of Las Vegas and Kelly (Jason Paup) Jacobs of Davenport; grandchildren Wyatt, Ryder, Madeline, Nathan, Mike, Matt, and Molly; great-grandchildren Lola and Mike Jr.; her sister, Kim Ineichen; many nieces and nephews; and numerous loving family members.

Roberta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay Nelson; her parents, Robert and Lela Hill; and her brother, Roger Hill.
