Robert Dale Sanders

Robert Dale Sanders, 62, of Bettendorf, passed away, Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Private family services will be held. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert was born on June 21, 1963, in Davenport, to Ken Sanders and Carol Bolton. In later years Robert Louis Dudley became a father figure and was there with him until the end.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was later employed by Oscar Mayer for over 25 years. He was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. He was sarcastic and enjoyed making others feel good. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and looked forward to his trips to Tennessee. He was also an avid bike rider and great runner. Robert loved music and making mixtapes and CDs with his favorite tunes. He found joy in dogs and watching the dog shows. He lived for sports, especially golf. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. He will be deeply missed.

Those left to honor his memory include his son Colin Sanders; grandchildren Hailey and Harper Sanders; best friend Wendy Ludwig; uncle and aunt James (Joan) Bolton; cousin Robin Bolton; special friend Krissy Overstreet; and a host of other friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
