Robert Dudley, 78, of Bettendorf, passed away, Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 24, 2026 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Robert was born on April 5, 1948 in Davenport, son of Robert and Irene (Hanley) Dudley. He was united in marriage to Caroline Bolton an June 19, 1999. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2020.

Robert was a veteran with the United States Marine Corps. He was a die hard Yankees fan and sports fan. He enjoyed country music and Elvis. His wife was his whole world and she made him a better person. He will be deeply missed.

Those left to honor his memory include his son Scott (Cara) Sanders; grandson Colin Sanders; great grandchildren Hailey and Harper Sanders; godson Mitch Overstreet; and special friends Wendy Ludwig, Dave Overstreet, and Crissy Overstreet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Robert, siblings James, Stella and Roberta and his dog Rain.
