Robert "Bob" Conner

Robert “Bob” Conner, 69, of Davenport, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Unity Point Health-Trinity Bettendorf, surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, October 3, 2025 at New Life Baptist Church, 7780 W. Locust St, Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the church. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Bob was born on June 30, 1956, son of Charles and Maxine Conner. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1975. Bob was united in marriage to Vicki Owens on September 20, 1975.

He was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Davenport where he had served as a deacon and sound man for many years. Bob worked for several places including Eastern Iowa Grain inspection, Sivyer Steel, Caterpillar, and was a school bus driver for 35 years before he retired due to his health. He then went to work for Dial Senior Living (Silvercrest) transporting residents before his health forced him to retire.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 50 years Vicki; son Chad (Jessi) Conner of Chula Vista, California; daughters Bobbi Weedman of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Erika (Marty) Stanek of Davenport, Iowa; sister Ronda (Roy) Arey of Davenport, Iowa; brothers Bruce Conner of Galesburg, Illinois, Shawn (Cindy) Conner of Bettendorf, Iowa and Danial Conner, Davenport, Iowa ; 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Rod Conner.
