Rick Peterson

Richard Lee “Rick” Peterson, 46, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at ProMedica- Davenport.   Per his wish the rite of cremation will be accorded.  A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 12 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2022.  A luncheon will follow at the American Legion Hall, 106 Juniata Street, Blue Grass, Iowa 52726. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Rick was born January 14, 1976, in Davenport, a son of Gerald F. “Jerry” and Pamela Lynn (Jones) Peterson.  He was united in marriage to Carey Sammon in 2017 in Davenport.

He had been a diesel mechanic for Wenger, now Dedicated Transportation Systems.

Rick always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.  He enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, grilling, NASCAR, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Carey; son Dustin Bain of Davenport; daughter Danielle Bain of Moline; son Richard M Peterson of Moline; stepson Noah Bremenkamp of Davenport; grandchildren Kaylee, Judith, Amarah, Grace, Kaydon, Elaina, and Alexa; and father Jerry (Teresa) Peterson of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his mother Pamela Peterson, brother Gerald “Scotty” Peterson, and stepson Kyler Sammon.  May they rest in peace.
