Richard “Dick” Lee Lamb, 66, of Davenport passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11:00 am at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Please wear Green Bay Packers or casual attire. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Dick was born on January 14, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Robert Dean Lamb, Sr. and Valetta May (Rounciville) Soderberg. He was united in marriage to Mary Kay McDonnell on October 29, 1983.
Dick was known by many names such as Mr. Haney, Dr. Red Duke, Little Richie, Grandpo and Bpa. He worked and retired from Oscar Mayer in 2013. He was a huge Green Bay Packers, Elvis, and Chicago Cubs Fan. He loved loud music, fishing and watching his westerns, especially Gunsmoke. Dick was known for his amazing Christmas and Superbowl parties. He was the type of man to give a helping hand if he was able. Above all he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He will be deeply missed.
Those left to those left to honor his memory include his wife, Mary Kay; mother Valetta Soderberg; children Katie (Brandon) Hook, Jenny (Tory) Sage and Mike (Kelly) Row; grandchildren Devon (Amber) Lobdell, Kharryn Dexter, Ronnie Sage, Sophie Row and Jimmie Row; great grandchildren Haileigh Dexter, Tillie Dexter and Asher Stonebraker; siblings, Lynn Jones, Judy (Pat) Springsteen and Pam (Tim) Foster; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lamb, Sr., brothers Robert Lamb, Jr., and William Lamb, and step father Robert Soderberg.
