Ralph Jimenez Granados, 96, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025 at MercyOne Genesis Medical Center, Davenport.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, on Friday, October 10th at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 9th at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 6:30 pm. Additional visitation will be held from 9:30 am Friday until the time of Mass at church. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Ralph was born on April 4th , 1929 in California, son of Antonio and Ysidra (Jimenez) Granados. He was employed with the Rock Island Arsenal for many years and later retired from the QC Times. He was a hard-working man, which is evident by him working well into his 80’s.
Ralph was a happy man with an always present smile and a joke with a laugh quick to follow. He enjoyed watching cowboy movies, especially Walker Texas Ranger. In his younger years he was a boxer and enjoyed telling stories of his childhood. Above all he loved his family and cherished the time spent with them. His favorite past time was family gathering where he could watch the grandchildren play.
Those left to honor his memory include his children Mona (Richard) Jansen, Melissa (Ted) Baumbach, Kathleen (Ron) Johnson and Josephine Epping; 12 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; 9 great- great- grandchildren; and siblings Carmen and Audelia. He was preceded in death by his parents, children Isidra and Suzanne, 3 grandchildren, and siblings Antonia, Aleshia, Ricardo, Celedonia, Georginia and Jorge.
