Prosper Miller

Prosper R. Miller, 69, of Davenport, died Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Trinity, Rock Island.  Graveside services will be 12p.m. Monday, April 29, 2019 at Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport. There will be a luncheon from 2pm to 4pm at Zion Lutheran church on 8th and Marquette Streets in Davenport.  Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Prosper was born on July 26, 1949 in Rock Island, a son of Russel A. and Delores M. ( Rumble) Miller.  He had worked as a laborer in the Quad Cities.

Prosper loved music, especially the music of Elvis Presley.  He dabbled in guitar and played the spoons.    Prosper also enjoyed fishing.

Those left to honor his memory are his children: Debbie (Dan Little) Miller, Danny Miller, and Nancy Miller, all of Davenport; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings: Ron (Kathy) Miller, Janice (Mark) Shimkus, all of Davenport, and a close friend, Heidi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his former wife, Kathleen Miller.
