Patricia Peacock

Patricia Peacock, 88, a resident of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and formerly a longtime resident of Davenport, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Morningstar Assisted Living in Fountain Hills, Arizona. A private family burial will take place on Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Friends are invited to attend a “Celebration to her Life” at 11:30 on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Quad Cities Botanical Center.

Patricia Margaret Tucker was born January 16, 1929, in Iowa City a daughter of Leo and Margaret (Shima) Tucker. She was united in marriage to Donald Peacock on November 6, 1948, at St. Paul the Apostle Church. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2011. They were blessed with over sixty-two years of marriage.

Patricia sold Sarah Coventry and Avon while raising her family. She retired from the federal government after working 20 years at the Rock Island Arsenal in weapons procurement; specializing in the acquisition of the M-16 rifle.

Patricia enjoyed Arizona in the winter and Iowa in the summer. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, baking for family and friends, and winning at cards and Bingo! She always attended her children’s and then her grandchildren’s school events and all their club sports events; cheering them on.

Memorials can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF).

Those left to honor her memory include sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sandra Peacock, Phoenix, AZ, Steven and Lynn Peacock, Peoria, AZ, Paul and Kristine Peacock, Davenport, a daughter and son-in-law, Loras and Jerry Rauch, Fountain Hills, AZ; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and seven step-great grandchildren.
