Patricia A. Kakert

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia A. Kakert, 93, of Davenport, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2025 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass in the gathering space at Our Lady of Victory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia died Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Cedar Manor, Tipton.

Patricia Ann Kakert was born on January 1, 1932 in Davenport, a daughter of Francis and Eva (Tofanelli) Schroeder. She was united in marriage to John P. Kakert on November 15, 1964 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1998.

Patricia worked for over 25 years at the Davenport Pediatric Group. Later, she worked at the Diocese of Davenport.

Patricia is survived by her children and their spouses: Kathleen (Russell) Meier, Davenport, Paul (Peg) Kakert, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Ann (Gary) Foster, Tipton; grandchildren: Gina, Sarah, Brian and Justin Meier, Bailey, Paige, and Brady (Sabrina Shaw) Kakert, and Katherine (P.J.) Shellenberg, and Jennifer Higgins (Mike); and a great-grandchild, Salem Shook.

In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Angela (Robert) LaMar. May they rest in peace.
