It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela Kay Valtine on February 11th, 2026, at Genesis Medical Center–East in Davenport, Iowa, at the age of 57. Pamela was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her loving family and close friends will greatly miss her.
Pamela Kay Valtine was born on November 5th, 1968. The youngest daughter of Virgil Valtine and Pauline Peterson in East Moline, Illinois. She grew up in the Quad-Cities area. She lived in East Moline, Moline, Rock Island, and Davenport, and even resided in Bettendorf later in life with her family for many years before moving back to Davenport. She attended several different schools and high schools throughout her childhood before becoming a young, devoted mother.
She was a woman of strength and independence who found her greatest purpose in the family she raised and the community she loved. She was the aunt who cherished and tolerated all her nieces and nephews from birth until now, with her oldest great-nephew being eleven. The bond she created with every one of them was unbreakable; they were inseparable. Her great nieces and nephews were her pride and joy, the highlight of the day. Outside of being devoted to her family, she enjoyed going to church, doing crossword puzzles, enjoying the nice weather, and taking long walks.
Pamela's legacy lives on through her four devoted daughters, Kayla Valtine, Amber Valtine, Christina Valtine, and April Valtine. She is also survived by her sister Angela Valtine (Gilbert Taylor) and their five kids. Devonta (Courtney Holmes), Amy (Yamime), Stephanie (Shaq), Devon (Tyra), Jacob Valtine, and two brothers, Scott Valtine and Virgil Valtine Jr.
She now joins her parents, Virgil Valtine and Pauline Peterson in eternal rest along with her one and only son, Justine Valtine (2010), as well as her partner of many years, Smauel Monroe Jr. (2020).
The family will had a small private viewing. Cremation rites have been accorded, and Halligan-McCabe-DeVries is assisting the family.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Genesis East ER staff, Dr. Bhatti and his team of colleagues, Dr. Allen Hu, Dr. Adnan Yousaf, and Stephan Akshelyan (Peoria).
