Nathan Thomas MacDonald

Nathan Thomas MacDonald was born still after 20 weeks in utero on August 6, 2026. The son of Ryan and Theresa (Axelson) MacDonald, of Blue Grass, Nathan was deeply loved and will be forever cherished. Despite his short time on earth, Nathan fulfilled God’s purpose for him by helping bring souls closer to heaven. From the moment of his creation, he brought an outpouring of joy and hope.

Nathan is survived by his parents; siblings Joseph, Gianna, and Mariana; grandparents Michael and Veronica Axelson of Germantown Hills, IL, Martin and Susan MacDonald of Ottawa, IL; maternal great grandfather Richard LaHood of Washington, IL; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by siblings Sophia and Francis; paternal great grandparents Hugh and Sue Travi, George and Donna MacDonald; maternal great grandparents Harold and Colette Axelson, and Patricia LaHood.

Visitation will be Monday, August 10, 2026, from 10-11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will conclude in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.
