Nancy Lynn Moorman was born on September 27, 1958 in Centerville, Iowa, a daughter of Harry and Shirley (Large) Moorman. She was united in marriage to Chris M. Skibbe on May 25, 1985 in Bettendorf. Nancy worked for the Davenport Community School District for the past 10 years and was very committed to her position as a food service worker.
First and foremost, Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking meals for family gatherings and shopping. She was actively involved in her two granddaughters and nephew’s life and attended or participated in everything she could. She enjoyed spontaneous road trips often without a destination in sight. Most importantly she loved the quality time and the sights of nature. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Door County and the Caribbean. Nancy was a caretaker and giver, by nature, and made sure everyone she loved knew it and was taken care of.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband and very best friend, Chris, son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Amanda Moorman, granddaughters, Melanie Moorman and Cierra Moorman, sister, Penny (Driskell) Lee, niece and nephew, Merissa Stater and Nolan Fonteyne, niece, Lindsey (Brian) Schaefer and family, nephew, Jesse Driskell, niece Lauren (Jared) Linn, and a niece, Baylee Moorman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry (Jim) and Shirley Moorman and siblings, Caroline Moorman and Robert Moorman.
