Monica Ann Burge

Monica (Barton) Burge, 57, of Davenport, passed away, Monday, December 1, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center, Davenport.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Columbus Club, 1111 W 35th Street, Davenport, Iowa from Noon until 4:00PM. A memorial tribute will be at 2:00.

Monica was born on June 18, 1968, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas R. Barton and Sandra (Jordan) Rochau.

Monica graduated from West High School in 1986. She worked for Genesis for over 30 years as a CNA. She enjoyed history, listening to music, and watching movies. She was a Chicago Cub and Iowa Hawkeye Football fan. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Nicole (Derek Sulzberger), Burge; sisters Shelly (Ray Clark) Barton and Mary Beth (Brian) Murray; nieces, Rochelle (Shawn) Thomas and children Liam and Jace, Heather Linde, Lexi Hilby; and nephew Blane Barton. Also important to Monica was Eric Burge and the Burge family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Tom Barton and Sandy and Harley Rochau, her son Anthony, her sister Missy (Barton) Bender, and special friend Cheri Miller.
