Missy Mueller

Melissa M. “Missy” Mueller, 56, of Davenport, died Friday, October 31, 2025 at Harmony – Utica Ridge, Davenport surrounded by family. Keeping with her wishes, cremation rites will take place and a private family service will be held. A celebration of Missy’s life will be held in near future. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boys Town, Omaha, Nebraska, or to the King’s Harvest Pet Rescue.

Missy was born on June 28, 1969 in Davenport, a daughter of Raymon F. and Claudia B. (Conard) Mueller. She graduated from St. Paul the Apostle School and Assumption High School, class of 1987. She later attended Scott Community College.

Missy worked as a paraeducator at Washington Elementary in Davenport and when they closed moved on to Davenport Central High School. She truly loved the kids and was a wonderful advocate for them. She also was a bartender at the former Chef’s Hat.

Missy’s son, Matthew, was her pride and joy and she enjoyed supporting him in all of his musicals and activities. She was a sports nut and an avid fanatic of Notre Dame football, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Indiana Fever. Missy was also an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She had a great love of dogs, and will be missed by Matilda Lou and Lola Mae.

Those left to honor her memory are her son, Matthew, Chicago; parents, Raymon and Claudia Mueller, Davenport, a sister Melinda, Ankeny, nephew, Carter Rands, Des Moines, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her guardian angels who have looked after her during her final journey; Mary and Peter Sirna and their children, Carol Howell, Deb and Lyn Jensen, Ann, Grace, and Christian Rannfeldt, Christie Couch, and Abby Mussmann.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice and Harmony-Utica Ridge as well as City of Hope in Zion, Illinois for all the wonderful, compassionate care Missy received.
