Melissa Lager

Melissa Lea Lager, 50, of Davenport, passed away, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Genesis East Campus ER.

Melissa was born on May 3, 1975, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Joe and Darelene (Marlier) Richard.

Melissa always had a joke ready that would brighten your day and always offer up laughs. Her family meant the world to her, especially her grandchildren. She loved those around her and never missed a chance to tell them. One of the things she was most grateful for was the opportunity to travel. Melissa was a superior chef and loved cooking, especially tacos.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Nolan (Victoria) Lager, and Abbie Boetger; grandchildren, Maxwell Lager and Maverick Boetger; her parents; brothers, Joe Richard and Scott Richard; her companion dog, Blu; and special friend, Sam.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jen Lager, and her grandparents.
