Matthew Gilmore

Matthew A. Gilmore, 44, a resident of Davenport, died Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday. Memorials may be made to the family. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.

Matt was born November 10, 1976 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of James and Mary Ann (Hingst) Gilmore.

Matt was a sports fanatic and an avid Michigan Wolverine, Chicago Cubs, and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed having a good time, fishing, and his friends and family.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Mary Ann Mathews of Davenport; siblings, James (Beth Mathews) Gilmore of Davenport, Kate (Tim) Oetzmann of Blue Grass, and Amy (Tim) Heuvelmann of Burlington; nieces and nephews, J.D., Hunter, Gabby, Hannah, and Hallie.

He was preceded in death by his father.
