Mary Patricia Harris, 98, of Davenport, died Sunday, April 19, 2026, at MercyOne-Genesis Medical Center, Davenport.

Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 417 N. Main Street, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 9 until 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Anthony’s. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Care and Share Program.

Mary Patricia Stamm was born on May 4, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a daughter of Leander P. and Lillian A. (Eichman) Stamm. She went to Holy Angels Academy and later graduated from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee in 1949 with a degree in philosophy. Mary was united in marriage to Fred W. Harris on October 25, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2021, following sixty-eight years of marriage together.

Mary had a love for travel and adventure. With her husband, she spent 30 years escaping winter and enjoying the Texas sunshine. Together they formed lifelong friendships with their Texas pals.

Mary had a passion for reading and always had her nose in a book. She fed this habit by working at Walden Books for a decade.

She was extremely creative and enjoyed many crafts. Mary also enjoyed cooking and playing bridge as part of many card clubs through the years.

Survivors include her children: Michael Harris, Madison, Wisconsin, John Harris, and Nancy (Brian) McKee, all of Davenport; a daughter-in-law, Grace Harris, Moline; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Dr. Brad) Yaklich, Morrison, Illinois, Melissa (Seth) Harness, Moline, Margaret McKee, Davenport, and Willis Harris; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Lilly, Jaxon, Jayden, Eli, Genevieve, and Theodore; a sister, Nancy Manschot, East Troy, Wisconsin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Fred, Mary was preceded in death by a son Daniel, a daughter-in-law, Mary Jo, a grandson, Michael, her parents, and siblings, Elizabeth Roberts and John Stamm.
