Mark Lavon Mitchell

Mark Lavon Mitchell, 38, of Davenport, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services are at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries All Faith Chapel.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Mark was born on September 26, 1984 in Davenport, Iowa, son of Mark Combs and Brenda (Mitchell) McNeal. 

Mark graduated from Davenport Central in 2003.  He was a private home healthcare provider.  Mark enjoyed fishing, grilling and was the life of the party.  He loved music and loved to sing and dance.  He was an avid San Francisco 49ers and Golden State Warriors Fan.  Above all else, Mark was a devoted father and cherished the time he spent with his family.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Chastity Potter; children Diamond Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, Jr., Kendall Wilson and Kenya Wilson; step-father Tony McNeal, Sr.; siblings, Ellatishiaca (Marcus) Long Donelson, Lee Mitchell, Ezekiel Mitchell, Tony McNeal, Jr., Deon McNeal, Brenadia McNeal, Cathy Combs, Nila Combs, LaMark Combs, Connie Combs, and Derone Combs.; and a host of nieces and nephews,

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Romane Nunn, and a niece and nephew.
