Marjorie Sampica, 84, of Davenport passed away, Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Harmony, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 9, 2025 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to the family.
Marjorie was born on May 19, 1940 in Davenport, daughter of Ralph and Cleo (Sanders) Hendricksen. She was united in marriage to Jack Sampica on March 12, 1962.
Marjorie enjoyed playing Bingo, reading and going on walks. She was a very kind person and was strong in her faith. She was very proud of her home and her flower gardens and took great pride in their appearance. Marjorie loved the holidays, especially Easter and Christmas and the joy that filled her heart as she watched the family gather. Her family was her life and she was a faithful and loving part of the circle. Her house was the place to be for every holiday and any other occasion that might arise. She will be deeply missed.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jack; children Lisa (Troy) Morrison and Lora Sampica; grandchildren, Amanda Fifer, Jeremy (Sarah) Fifer, Joshua Fifer, Jessica Vasquez, Andrea (AJ) Durand, Jason (Leaha) Sampica, Monica Vasquez and Justin Sampica; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and siblings Salma, James Hendricksen and Rick (Barb) Hendricksen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Brenda Fowler-Hendricksen, granddaughter Chasity Vasquez and siblings Jewel Appleby, John Hendricksen, Donna Hendricksen, Donald Hendricksen, Robert Hendricksen, Bessie Hitchcock and Theodore “Teddy” Hendricksen.
