Funeral services for Marilyn J. Frahm, 84, a resident of Davenport, will be 1p.m. Tuesday, December 5. 2017 at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Davenport Memorial Park. Marilyn passed away December 2, 2017 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Davenport.

Marilyn Joyce Petersen was born on January 5, 1933 in Davenport, a daughter of Peter H. and Mabel (Bein) Petersen. Shortly after graduating from Davenport High School, she began to work at Cobham Life Support, the former Bendix Corporation, a career that spanned 54 years.
Marilyn was united marriage to Eugene Frahm on January 8, 1955.
She also worked at T.R.’s Woodshed in Blue Grass, The Beach Pub in Buffalo, and delivered newspapers for the Quad City Times.

Marilyn enjoyed gardening, her woman’s pool league, trips to Las Vegas, spending time with her family, and attending horse shows that her children were involved with. She also enjoyed hosting parties at the cabin.

Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Suzanne “Freddie” Frahm, Durant, Tina (William) Yoder, Buffalo, JR (Sue) Frahm, Highland, Illinois, Rich “Hans” Frahm, Las Vegas, and Sarah (Brett) Zindel, Durant; grandchildren: Charlsey (Jeff) Wise, Hannah (T.J. Britton) Frahm, Joslyne Moore, Nicole Yoder, Breanna Frahm, Griffin Frahm, Chaz Frahm, Spencer Meinert, and Savannah Meinert; and a great-grandson, Jorden Moore; sisters-in-law, Imogene Petersen, Walcott and Janet Petersen, Davenport, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert and Richard Petersen.
